< HOW TO USE >
HMKL Jordan 50 is a downsized version of HMKL Jordan 65, the “surface magician.”
Despite its compact body, the weight ball mounted in the rear stabilizes the lure during flight, allowing for smooth and consistent casting. Use Jordan 50 when bass are feeding on smaller baitfish.
< HOW TO USE >
HMKL Jordan is far more than a topwater lure limited to spring fishing. In any season, matching the lure to the baitfish bass are actively feeding on can significantly increase your chances of getting a bite. Give the “surface magician,” HMKL Jordan, a try.
If the tinsel is pointing in different directions or becomes bent when you receive the lure, gently smooth it into shape with your fingers before use.
— KEY PATTERNS —
① First, cast the lure and leave it completely still for 20–30 seconds, keeping the line and lure in a straight line.
This pattern is effective for spring smelt patterns and for targeting bass suspended around man-made structures in summer. The lure can draw suspended bass up to the surface and trigger a strike.
② If there is no response to the first method:
Twitch the Jordan on the surface to make bass aware of its presence and trigger a strike.
③ If there is no response to either the first or second method:
During the retrieve, use rapid twitches to imitate fleeing baitfish and trigger a reaction bite.
④ When bass are actively feeding on the surface:
Quickly cast to the feeding fish and use a fast retrieve to trigger a strike.
⑤ For cruising bass or bass actively chasing baitfish:
Use a dead-slow retrieve to create a subtle wake on the surface, drawing attention without overpowering the presentation and triggering a strike.
